Would anyone like to correspond on these families? ROBERT BROWN whose parents have been given to me as WILLIAM BROWN & ELIZABETH CHAPMAN, married ELIZABETH FLETCHER at Isleham in 1806. Their daughter ELIZA BROWN married my JAMES MANSFIELD there in 1850. I have 9 know children of Robert & Elizabeth, 5 of whom are know to have reached Tasmania, Australia by one means or another. ELIZA BROWN and husband JAMES MANSFIELD emigrated to Tasmania in 1852/1853. JOHN his wife MARY & brother ISAAC with wife SARAH CADMAN were sponsored out by ELIZA MANSFIELD (BROWN) in 1854. ELIJAH & brother JOSEPH were convicted of "Maliciously wounding with intent to harm" and transported in 1844 to Norfolk Island on the "Agincourt". Later transferred to Tasmania on the "Lady Franklin" in 1846. A WILLIAM BROWN is mentioned as the victim, a constable, whose eye was cut. JOSEPH's wife in Isleham was SUSAN WEBBER. Children Emma/Jane? & Robert? ELIJAH had a wife and 2/3? children in Isleham, SARAH WELLS, children Elijah, Eliza & Robert? Elijah married twice in Tasmania and became a successful Inn owner.
