Hi Richard.. How would 9our Bassingham fit in with Bossingham, and maybe the odd Bussingham? My gg grandmother was Elizabeth Bossingham, parents Benjamin and Mary nee Watkinson (comes up as Watkins or Wilkinson if you see only the summary index for some records). They were in the Upwell, Wisbech and Walsoken areas. Benjamin was a tailor, as was his son Benjamin - the son lived in Ruby St in the 1851 census. Gg gran migrated to Australia with (ultimately) three sisters; she and the first two sisters arrived Jan 1852. Those three all married here in Melbourne, Victoria Australia in 1852. I can fill you on on down to my generation, and give you a few pointers for a generation or so further back, if you think these match up with your family.
