YES you have my gg gran on there - Elizabeth, born 1826. Esther is on sister who came here with her, and Anne came too, sister Frances = Fanny married a J Walker in Elm and came here about 1854. Benjamin was Dad's name and of course there was a son (brother Benjamin, who had a Benjamin.. William is another male name - that was my gg Gran's paternal grandfather (Married Elizabeth Stephenson or Stevenson in Upwell). Sister Ann born 1825 arrve here in 1852 as well, She married Thomas Burrows; my gg gran married James Burrows, and the Burrows boys were brothers from Wheatfield Oxfordshire, parents William and Charlotte nee Slade (she was in Aylesbury, he was bapt Holton Oxfordshire). Caroline is a name that rings a bell and Charles was the yojngest son of the family. Gg gran would hardly have known him I think. Three of the four Bossingham girls who came here died young - well, 35-40ish. Sad. Annie died about 1865 of pertionitis; Eliz died 1870? Of cancer of wombe and ovaries and seemed all alone - no info known = on death cert(ours are MUCH more detailed than yours) even as to marrieage, children etc. My records are in a mess and likely to stasy that way for some time I am afraid. I can give you names and rlationships from memory, and dig out the certs that I have at some time when I can get to them. Upwell? Well my ggg grqndfather Benjamin Bossingham married Mary Watkinson there, and had first child there - then moved to Wisbech (Timber Market, now Norfolk St and I forget which, East or West - but the one closest to the big highway that was a canal at one time, converted about 1960s. Further from the church if I rmember the very short time I spent there in 2000) and had about 4 more, incl my gg gran, then moved to nNew Walsoken and they continued the family. Well I have to go out in a minute.. Now if you want info faster than I can give it, and are willing to spend a little money, the index of Vic BDMs is on line, price 9+9c per page to view index - that is about 40p in £ sterling! And if you want the cert you can order and download immediatley -- cost $17.50 so again, we pay $1 for a bout 39p. Site is.. http://www.dvc.vic.gov.au/bdm.htm though it did have a note saying temprarily unavailable - but it appeared to come up OK when I tested it just now - just the front page though. And, the name Bossingham and similar mispelt variants come up as children;'s names - Christian names - till the last one died in about 1953. so look out for that, too. A dead give away!! Boshington is on a death cert somewhere.. Track it back, and yes he is one of ours. And another died, and the maiden name of mother was given as Bone - all else matches - it is ours, but if was Annie, who died, and Thomas married again - informant was from the new marriage a generation down - not a bad attempt Id say for something that had probably just been mentioned in passing.
