Hello All I have a mystery to solve & knowing how helpful you all are plus very good detectives you can be my Agatha Christie in this. I have what I thought was Hannah Murkin nee Poulter (am now waiting on a birth for a Hannah Pettit) marrying in 1884 London details from marriage cert. on the 1881 census I have her a widow at home with parents (see 1st census) well with help from Paula of this list & I got earlier census, I have a marriage of Julia Stigwood to a John Pettit (Pettit/Pettett) in 1844 Wood Ditton, now later she as I thought marries a John Poulter, so okay may be the children took his name. But looking on these earlier census it shows John Pettitt, then later changes to John Poulter as do the children but some use the name Pettett as a middle name, but it does look like that there is a case that the two John's husband to Julia are one of the same so that is mystery one.
