This is beginning to look more certainly like the Hannah Drury I'm trying to identify. Thank you also for the offer to search the March Parish Register. I have, in fact, got this set of microfiche, together with several other local parishes. Without this material published by the CFHS it would have been impossible to get anywhere with the Cambridgeshire research. Sorry I'm late replying, but I missed it on first looking at the list. There is a strange fault on my e-mail at present which is cutting off the last entry on each digest, i.e. if there are 7 items listed, only letters 1 to 6 are actually appearing. (They appear in the Archives on the Web site, so I know they exist) . I've put an enquiry through to my ISP and will see what happens. I wonder if anyone out there can tell me what or where "The Pits" were. I've tried Google, but it comes up with too much and I can't identify the correct entry. There appear to be gravel pits, but William is listed as an Ag Lab.
