Gail, The Baptism Index 1801-1837 is an index and not the actual records. It contains the details taken from the parish records and therefore you need to look at those records for the full information. The parish registers available are all listed on the CFHS web site with the period covered, which should answer the second part of your query. There are no further indexes on-line other than the 1801-1837 ones that cover your requirements.
