Yes, they still do charge, but didn't realise it had gone upto £5.00. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cawthorn/Fens/fenlandmuseum.html As they are a registered charity, they have to generate income in one way or another. After our PALMER Gathering in Wisbech last year, we had a surplus after expenses, so gave a donation to the Fenland Museum as they staged an exhibition of Wisbech PALMER memorabilia [and they have a lot!] - they've used the money for new archival boxes for storing Parish registers in. There is no chance of any unfilmed registers being filmed as they would lose their income from researchers :( BUT they will make A3 photocopies from any of the registers in their care. Hope this helps. When I went over 2 years ago they charged me £5 an hour to look through some records for March and Emneth. Maureen (Mo) ______________________________
