    3. Evening All, I have just been trying out the Cambridgeshire 1841 Census CD set (and one CD from the Devon set - this new facility of buying only one CD of a set is great) from Archive CD Books. Congratulations to Rod and his people; everything I have checked (and some of my places of interest are among the worst preserved) is legible. I have now ordered the Norfolk set - to replace a previously purchased effort! Inevitably, some pages are still difficult to read. I have found that, on occasions, setting the screen up to display the area of interest with the optimum amount of 'zoom', then printing with a setting of 'current view' on the printing options dialog box and the best quality printing your system is capable of, will give readable results. At least good enough to confirm (or otherwise) what you think you see on the screen. I must also commend the transcribers responsible for the CFHS fiche publications, some of which I also hold. With what they evidently had to work with they did a magnificent job. If only the transcribers of the 1901 Census Online had been as good! Cheers, Cliff of Coventry

Could you tell me if it covers Bassingbourn, or do I have to wait for the Huntingdonshire set to come out? John -- John Rouse
