This post caught my eye as I believe my ancestors were the only Macintoshes in Cambridge. I had some difficulty following the thread on Francis Reveley, but my gggrandfather and his siblings were born between 1823 and 1838 - wonder whether Mr. Reveley was tutor to some of them !
