Hello everyone, One of my young female ancestors gave birth to a child in Peterborough Union Workhouse in 1895 'chargeable to Thorney parish'. I'm not sure what this term means. Does anyone know? Many thanks, Mary Researching Hawkins, Foden, Brown.
