I hope someone is interested in the following articles :- TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION - Copyhold Estate Known as The Plantation situate in Littleport and Ely. The Estate is situated adjoining the new Turnpike Road from Mildenhall to Littleport and Wisbech, 7 miles distant from the market town of Mildenhall, and 11 from the city of Ely. (more details if required) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deaths On Friday se'nnight, after a long illness, Mrs Waddingham wife of Mr Waddingham, captain of the schooner, Isabel, of Wisbech On Tuesday last, Mary, wife of Mr Watts, printer and bookseller, of Wisbech; they had been married but twelve weeks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wisbeach - March 21 Arrived - Jane, Higgins; Pomons, Slender; from Hull. May, Gordon, from London with goods. And 7 vessels with coals. Sailed - Nelly, Martins; for Wells with potatoes. Two cousins, Warburton; Active, Johnson; for Goole with corn etc. Average prices of Grain:- Wheat 50s 5d - Barley 24s 1d - Beans 28s 3d - Oats 14s 6d per quarter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cambridge March 21 The Chancellor's Gold Medals for the two best Proficients in the Classical Learning among the Commencing Bachelors of Arts were on Wednesday last adjudged to Edward Herbert Bunbury, of Trinity College, and James Hildyard, of Christ's College. Herbert Jenner, Esq LLB of Trinity Hall, eldest son of Sir Herbert Jenner, the King's Advocate-General, has been elected a Fellow of that Society. Best wishes Maureen
