Dear Tim and Julie, I recently searched the online archives of The Times of London and found several stories about Soham going back to the 1800s. Just now I found a report of a fire in 1846 which destroyed 13 houses. Quite a number of indviduals and their businesses are mentioned. Would this be of interest to you?
