Hello there Can anyone confirm the name of a road in Chesterfield called Tennyson....? possibly Lane. My mum was evacuated to a doctors there during WW2 with her mum, nan and a couple of brother and sister. I'm assuming it was a large house! We think it might still be a doctors, but possibly a surgery now rather than a private residence. I'd love to know the family's name that was living there in the early to mid 1940s. Thanks Donna
Donna, I don't know the Chesterfield area, but if you do a Google search using Tennyson+surgery+Chesterfield you'll see that there is both a doctor's surgery and a dental practice on Tennyson Avenue in Chesterfield, as well as a doctors out of hours service. Viv
