    3. Hi David, The lose end I was tying up was, in fact, the Leet family of Histon where Jane Huckle was William Leet's second wife. I agree that she was probably baptised in Bourn in 1821. I know she died early in 1851 but I was interested to see 12-year old William Huckle living with the Leet family when the census was taken later that year. He was recorded as a son-in-law but I suspected that he might have been Jane's illegitimate son. I think Julia has now confirmed that from the Comberton parish registers. I haven't found young William in the 1861 census of Histon so I don't know what happened to him. Since that part of the Leet family are peripheral to my tree (and William Huckle is peripheral to them) I doubt if I shall investigate any further - I was just curious to see if my hunch about him was right (cue smugness).
