Alice, the much-loved wife of Mr W HUBBARD, had been ailing for a week or two, but without serious cause for alarm till two or three days before she died. Happily she had so lived that death could hardly take her by surprise. By her own desire she received her last Communion, with her husband and her most intimate friend, on Sunday morning, the 19th, and on Monday, with clear faith and hope, said farewell to all whom she loved in this world, and calmly fell asleep " in Jesus". Her place of burial, by her own desire, was in the churchyard of East Winch, Norfolk, the scene of her baptism, her confirmation and her marriage. She had been married only nine years, and had not quite completed her thirty-second year of life.
