Hi all, Bit of a cheeky request, but is anyone in Cambridge willing to visit a churchyard on Newmarket Road and take some photos for me? I've found my Gt Gt Grandfather and a few of his immediate family buried at the same place, and I'd like some photos of any headstones that remain. But according to the DruidIC.org website, the churchyard is locked, I dont want to get anyone arrested! I am willing to cover any petrol costs and any reasonable time costs. I visited the area in January and drove straight past it, I didn't find out they were buried there until I got home! Gutted :( Cheers :) Tony
I think the 'Churchyard' on Newmarket Road that you are referring to is probably the city Cemetery which is absolutely huge! I suspect, unless you can provide details, it will take a long time to locate the graves by walking around as it is so big. Just to be sure, is the 'Churchyard' you are referring to between the McDonalds and the Airport? If it is then I am right about it being the main cemetery (I live within a few hundred yards of it).
