Sorry, he died aged 42 in 1917. His marriage cert in 1900 he was a college porter, same again on my grandmothers birth cert in 1910. When he married in 1900 he lived in Gwydir st. After that Newmarket Road. You might also take a look at the 1901 census, although I suspect his occupation was the same as for 1900 and 1910. If he was a college porter, perhaps he worked at one of the colleges at Cambridge University. Take a look at the 1881 census in Cambridge. There is a Arthur Stevenson about the right age living with his family on Newmarket Rd. I did a copy and paste below. Is this anywhere near the Newmarket Rd address you have?
