Could someone with better eyes than I give me a hand? I've located on Ancestry a record of a distant relative in the 1901 census but the page that Ancestry says he's on is so faded I can't find him. I've run the image through photoshop and I still can't see him. He's indexed as Rich Potterell, born abt 1819 (actually born in 1842). Ancestry says he's on Class: /RG13/; Piece: /215/; Folio: /64/; Page: /42... /Thanks in advance :) Tony
If you have no success with this source, do you know the village he is from so you can search parish registers- or ask someone to do a look up for you that way? Hi Judy, I've got all his other particulars, I'm after his entry on the 1901 census just for completeness :) http://www.pyroport.com/genealogy/people/richard_1842.shtm Cheers, Tony Judy d'Albert wrote: > If you have no success with this source, do you know the village he is > from so you can search parish registers- or ask someone to do a look up > for you that way? > > Judy > On Feb 22, 2007, at 11:47 AM, Tony Pottrell wrote: > > >> Could someone with better eyes than I give me a hand? Hi Tony That's because the pages are out of order. Click the "Next" button until page 45 (of 67) shows at the top. He is there - ex city Policeman, but it is not easy to read.
