    3. I have an EYECOM 2000 fiche reader which we had at my old firm to read Companies House records until ten years ago, it's in excellent working order and well used as many records (eg Devon parish registers) are only available on fiche. There are several firms who can supply reconditioned machines. One particular problem is parts, of course. The bulb on my machine went a couple of years ago after twenty years use ! Google produced a very quick response and I bought two bulbs which should keep me going quite a while Chris Graves, Colchester ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Partridge" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Cc: "jpff" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 25, 2007 5:23 PM Subject: Re: [ENG-CAMS] A question of Media > Hi, John ! > > I see that you have had a very helpful reply from Judy, but IF you are > more or less forced to fall back on fiche material AND want to do this > at home with your "computer and other genealogical environment" > then the following may prove useful:- > > Mrs. Margaret WOOLDRIDGE, > "Microfilm Supplies", > 18, Watling Place, > HOUGHTON REGIS, > Bedfordshire, > (Postcode NOT known - but you may be able to find it on the Royal > Mail website (?)) > > Telephone: 01582-867-045 > > I should point out that I have NOT got one myself, and have no > connections with the lady or her business, but several people on > the Norfolk Rootsweb List were praising her "EYECOM 1100 > microfiche reader" and her friendly cheerful service about a week > ago, so I made a note of the details in my 'Address Book'. > > I hope this helps !
