    3. Hi Lesley, We have the fiche for Oakington but the first baptism of a Papworth is in 1772 so we would assume he came from somewhere else, Good hunting, Paul & Lesley Derby UK -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lesley Powell Sent: 21 January 2007 20:39 To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [ENG-CAMS] CHAPMAN PAPWORTH Histon/Impinton/Cottenham area Hi Chris My interest in PAPWORTH is mainly in Histon, although they came to Histon from Oakington. I would like to know who the parents are of Philip PAPWORTH b. c1746 in Oakington. He married Sarah RATFORD in 1771 in Oakington. Any ideas? 3. Hi Paul & Lesley I assume that the baptism you refer to is that of Daniel PAPWORTH, son of Philip & Sarah, on 9 Feb 1772. He is the first of 9 children of Philip & Mary that are baptised at Oakington. Daniel then married Mary JEEPS at Histon in 1795, and the family were resident there from then on. Daniel was the 3x gt grandfather of my husband. Philip & Sarah were married in Oakington in 1771, but that is as far back as I can get! 3. Hi again Lesley, Yes, the baptism is of Daniel PAPWORTH son of Philip & Sarah 9 Feb 1772. We don't have these PAPWORTHs on our tree though we do have some later from Swavesey. Best wishes, Paul & Lesley Derby UK -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lesley Powell Sent: 22 January 2007 16:25 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ENG-CAMS] CHAPMAN PAPWORTH Histon/Impinton/Cottenham area Hi Paul & Lesley I assume that the baptism you refer to is that of Daniel PAPWORTH, son of Philip & Sarah, on 9 Feb 1772.
