Greetings: Sometime ago I purchased a copy of a will for Abraham CLEMENTS, Blacksmith and _____ (?) draper of Dullingham, dated 1793, with codicil dated 1813, probate being obtained 14th April 1814. It names his wife, Elizabeth CLEMENTS, and in the event of her predeceasing him, Twenty pounds each is left to his sister Ann OAT, her children William, George, James and Ann OAT. Other beneficiaries include John JEFFERY (brother to Ann OAT, Snr., being the wife of Elizabeth JEFFERY). The writing isn't the easiest to read and apart from Dullingham I can't make out any other place names. As regards OAT, I've seen references on Ancestry.com to an OAKE family that has connections with CLEMENTS, but the Will looks like OAT. If this is of interest to anyone I can send either a scan of the photocopy and/or a copy of the text such as I've been able to make out. I was looking for a Charles CLEMENTS of Dullingham, b. abt 1820 (married to Elizabeth of Hopton, b. abt. 1822) with children: Eliza Maryann Charles Georgina Eleanor and Elizabeth and hoped Abraham might have some connection, but he didn't.
