Many thanks for this Paula - I appreciate it greatly!! I'm trying to break through a brick wall - not an easy task. For years I've been looking for information about William Warren Renney and his wife Eliza Moore from whom I am descended. They had four children and used the name Warren as the middle name for their eldest son and their eldest daughter so obviously Warren is a significant name to them. So I decided to move the focus of my searching to William Warren - assuming that for some reason he wanted to take on a new name, perhaps when they came to Australia. My first search attempt found a marriage which you have now confirmed, so maybe I'm on the right track. Previous to this I have not been able to find records of William and Eliza's births, marriage, and would you believe, records of their deaths!! I'm not sure how you hide your death records. Perhaps the records are in the name Warren as well, in South Australia or Victoria. The only records I have are the marriage certificates of their four children and records of the offspring of these marriages. Thanks for the Camdex URL - I had forgotten about it. I'll do some more searching now and see if I can find any children. If anyone on the list has these two in their family lines, I would be very happy to hear from them.
