I have been trying to find the marriage of these 2 in Linton between about 1860 and 1880. On Freebmd I have found Thomas Wheston marrying an Eleanor BLANKS in March 1876 ref Linton 3b 693. I have viewed the transcription it was taken from and it is clearly BLANKS. However I wondered if the original entry did not record her surname which was therefore blank. Would anyone be able to check this for me? Hello Penny, I have just looked at the Index for Marriages(not freeBMD) but Findmypast- the original index and there is an Eleanor BLANKS at the reference that you quote- so not an error(there were 2 others of this surname one in Essex & the other in London). If you search the Camdex site it has BLANKS LINSDELL Lauretta in Norfolk (I just googled Camdex- Cambs.C.C.
