    3. The name searchable BMD indexes on Ancestry (and in their original form on www.freebmd.org.uk) are not complete. They should only be used as a guide and checked against the original index pages - which are also available, for free, on Ancestry. Checking the Dec 1863 marriages on the latter there is an entry for John Edwards as well as Elizabeth Sarah Charles - both with the reference Cambridge 3b 1142.
