Hi Margaret Do you have the death certificate for your Frederick Shaw? I ask because my late father-in-law, Frederick Shaw, born February 1908 in Rochdale, Lancs, died at Ely (where he had lived since WW2) in ,I think, the Autumn of 1987 just short of his 80th birthday. I also discovered that he was not station master during WWII, but obviously some time after.He was Frederick Shaw, born in London in 1911 and I have no idea how he came to be in the county of Cambridgeshire except for his work. He married in the 1930's and had children. If I have the correct person, he died in 1987 in Ely Registration District. Frederick ('Freddie') was my great-uncle, and there are few relatives I can ask now for information. I am stumped as to where to go next.
