Hi, On the 1861 census, in Roxham, Norfolk, There is an Emma DAVIS aged 10 born in Ely. I have found her on Free BMD born Ely district in 1850. In 1861 she is living with Elizabeth CARNELL widow aged 77 from Southery, Norfolk. This Elizabeth is my husband's GGG Grandmother, and Emma DAVIS is listed as her grandaughter. I just can't fit this Emma DAVIS in anywhere. She doesn't seem to belong to any of Elizabeth's children! I can't find her on 1851 census where I thought I might be able to find out who her parents were. I have found her on all the other censuses but she seems to remain single and has no other relation living with her. I know I could order the birth certificate, but first I wondered if anyone has any knowledge of this Emma DAVIS and know who her parents were OR if anyone has access to Ely Parish records, maybe they could check her for me.
