I have nothing to add to the recent Ashwell/Litlington discussion, but it has prompted me to ask general advice. My wife's mother's family are all from Bassingbourn/Litlington/Whaddon/Croydon/etc and while I have managed to map much of it, the information to which I have direct access start in 1800 or 1835. How does one go earlier in this non-mobile area of Cambridgeshire? ==John ffitch
