I have an ancestor who entered King's College, Cambridge in 1688. After graduation he entered the church and eventually became a vicar in Shropshire. I have found information regarding his time at university and after but absolutely nothing before. Can anyone suggest what the criteria to enter university would have been in those days. Any help would be most welcome. Norman
