No sign of the burial of George ALSTON jnr in CFHS Burial Index However there is the baptism of Edward Graham ALSTON in St Botolph's Cambridge in 1832 in the CFHS Baptism Index. Both these indices are quite comprehensive when it comes to Cambridge parish churches. http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html Paula
Thank you Paula, David and Julie for this info. Seems my little brick wall is still standing!! BUT I have found an article from The Times newspaper (19th March 1834) referring to a court case re the father George Alston in 1834, held in Cambridge before Mr. Baron Vaughan. Dare I ask if anyone would know who or where I might contact to look at this court case a bit closer. And get a transcript of the case? I have had a look at the Cambridgeshire FHS web page, but nothing mentioned there. Plus I have sent an email to the Cambridge Library, last week, but no reply from them yet. with regards, At 05:11 PM 14/09/2009, you wrote: >No sign of the burial of George ALSTON jnr in CFHS Burial Index >However there is the baptism of Edward Graham ALSTON in St Botolph's >Cambridge in 1832 in the CFHS Baptism Index. >Both these indices are quite comprehensive when it comes to Cambridge >parish churches.
