    3. Hi Roger Nope not muddying the waters for me.....I just forgot to mention I Googled "43rd foot Regiment Royal Newfoundland Veterans" + records (Noting the inverted comma's) ..............and it came up with zero hits........on google that's pretty much unheard of in my book......but when I googled "43rd Foot Regiment"......that's where I got the national Archives site. Sorry guys I got carried away with all the other stuff and forgot to mention that........so what you are saying Roger makes a load of sense to me......Thanks for clarifying - methinks moi got just a little sidetracked with everything else. Cheers Pam > G'day Phil & Pam & Listers ! > > I hope that this does not muddy the waters too much, but do you realise > that > the "43rd Foot" is not the same as the Royal Newfoundland Veterans ? 3. Hi again Pam (+ Phil & Listers !) Golly ! - I got it right for once - amazing ! Thanks ! And if you put "Royal Newfoundland Veterans" into 'Google' you get 2,850 hits - so there may well be something to look at there as well ? - Just on the 1st page I noticed some Irishmen and a Scotsman in that regiment, so just as likely to be a man from Cambridgeshire ! Best Wishes !
