I am trying to find if John Jaggard b. 1719 West Wratting married to Mary Prenea/Prewer/Brewer 14 April 1741 and John Jaggard m. Elizabeth Smee 28 November 1762 in Dullingham are one and the same. Perhaps Mary died and John married again. The last child I can find born to John and Mary is Mercy b. 1759. Can't help with those records, Lyn, but I would suggest that the surname was probably PREWER, that being a name that occurred often on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk borders. I have several PREWERs at and around Lidgate, Suffolk, but sadly not the one you are after. Geoffrey Woollard.

I can understand that maybe someone could have transcribed Prewer as Prenea from old hand writing Thanks Lyn
