I have an ancestor William Stevens who was born in Dedham, Essex in 1733. He went to Cambridge University and went on to become a Doctor of Divinity. On the IGI is says that he was married in Norwich in 1772 and had a daughter Frances in 1773 who was baptised in Norwich. This information was put forward by a member of the LDS church. Unfortunately I cannot find the marriage nor baptism in the Norwich churches. I went through them all but obviously I could have missed the entries. He later became a Rector of Gt Snoring and Thursford in Norfolk. I am trying to backtrack his life a bit and wondered if he actually got married in Cambridge. His wife was possibly Ann.
