    3. Hi Terry, I volunteer at my local LDS (they couldn't get rid of me) I may be able to assist you...... 1. Can you tell me which State of Australia they emmigrated to. The LDS has BMD's for Victoria, South Australia and NSW - the date ranges vary however. Tasmanian archives are slowly going up online.....google Queensland is slowly going up online as well. Not sure about Western Australia etc. But I think they are but more than likely they came to NSW, SA or Victoria. 2. Do you know where they came from in England because the death records sometimes record the place of birth in the UK If I cannot get there (Studying and Lectures at the Mo) I can ask one of the others that volunteers there or you may have to wait a week or two until my lectures are over for the semester........if no-one else answers you. 3. Hello Terry I have Samuel Arnold and Elizabeth Howe in my database. Their daughter Eliza was born 1845 at Newtown By Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. She and her family emigrated in 1848 on the "Thetis" to NSW. They settled in the Paterson area (Allyn River/Martins Creek). Samuel died in 1846 and Elizabeth married David Parish in 1847 before they immigrated. A John Arnold born 1804 and this Samuel Arnold born 1804 both had parents called Thomas Arnold and Mary Thompson and lived in Newton by Cambridge. Regards Alan

    3. Hi Alan, Thank you for your information. There were many ARNOLDs living at Newton. The line I am researching is that of a John Tod ARNOLD son of John ARNOLD and Catherine TODD, who were married in Newton in 1803. John and his wife Eliza and two children Sophia and William migrated to Australia on the 'Caroline' in 1853 and also settled in Paterson area. Upon embarkation he said that he 'had a brother (in the colony) living in the Sydney district'. I have not been able to identify this brother. His son William became a prominent businessman in the Newcastle / Waratah area. Regards Terry
