HELLO EVERYONE. I am making a short visit to Ely on July 5th for a few days and wondered if there are any descendants of a William & Caroline Lee who lived in Walpole Lane/Silver Street from 1877 to 1911, still in the area. Caroline was my grandfather's eldest sister and was also Lee before marriagre. William and Caroline (CAro) HAD 8 CHILDREN ACCORDING TO 1911 CENSUS. wILLIAM jOHN B 1877, bERTRAM 1880/1, aGNES, wILLIAM 1887, cHARLOTTE 1891. tHOMAS rICHARD 1893 , MADGE 1895/6. I know that William b 1887 was killed in WW1 and is on Ely memorial. Its possible that Thomas died as well but not confirmed. Their father William was a gardener by trade and Bertram a printer. Why 2 sons were called William I do not know. If anyone has info on this family I would be pleased to hear from them. I have made enquiries in other places without success.
