Hello Listers, I have a distant relative by name of Susan GUNN who married Samuel MAUD in 1845 in Coventry reg. district. Susan had died by 1861 and the 1851 census shows the family in Satchwell street, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and in 1841 in the village of Byfield, Daventry, Northants. My query is that the 1851 census seems to show that Susan was from Cambridgeshire, Drove? And the burial index doesn't help much either as it shows no burials for a Susan(na) GUNN Paula
There are some villages that end in "Drove" - Parson Drove and Tholomas Drove; they are near Wisbech in the north of Cambridgeshire. Whaplode Drove and Hlbeach are also nearby but in Lincolnshire. On the CFHS site there is a Susan Gunn bap 1810 to Samuel & Sophia at Parson Drove. And a Susan bapt to Samuel & Anne in 1813 at Parson Drove. In 1851 Susan says she is 40 [30 in the 1841]. Liane
