Hi Peter, Many thanks for the response. I thought she was the illegit. daughter of one of the FLANDERS sisters, but was unsure as to which one. I have hired & viewed many of the parish registers around Melbourn, Wimpole, Kingston, Litlington etc, but for some reason stopped at 1845 in Melbourn. Any other FLANDERS, after 1845 (I have the marriage of Maria & Cornelius COOPER) would be appreciated if not too much trouble. My wife & I are both directly descended from this area & renewed our 25 year vows in the Wimpole church in 1998. My direct line names in this region, are PETT, BROWN, MILLER, NEWELL, HOWARD, SELL, CAMP, RANDALL, WING, MATHEWS, BALL, SHARP, PARKER, PETTENGELL, WHISSON, CHRISTMAS & HALL. - we are thick on the ground - in fact the wifes family are 6 generations in Litlington I have a subscription to 1911 census.
