    3. My great-great-grandmother Mary Ann CARTER was born in Shudy Camps in 1841. She lived to a ripe old age, dying in 1939 at the age of 97. On the 1851 census, when she was nine years old, her parents are named as John and Rebecca Carter, both also born in Shudy Camps. John was 31, and Rebecca was 30. The only likely marriage for them on the FreeBMD is in the Linton registration district, which includes Shudy Camps, in 1840, between John CARTER and Rebecca LUCAS. I hastened at once to the Cambridgeshire Baptisms CD to look up John and Rebecca being born and hopefully baptised in about 1820, only to discover that the Parish Records of Shudy Camps are not included. I wonder if anyone with access to the Shudy Camps PRs would kindly check for me to see if John and Rebecca's baptisms are there, and confirm that Rebecca's maiden name was LUCAS. It would be great to know their parents' names. It is probable that they were married in Shudy Camps, so any information about that would also be gratefully received!
