Hello list, I have lost some members of my family. They were in Cambridge in December 1860 for a wedding and then nothing. The most likely parish would be St Andrew the Less - but who knows, people moved around so much. Can someone consult the 1861 indexes for Esther LANGFORD, spinster aged 28 born city of Cambridge George Langford, baker, 33, born city of Cambridge and wife Martha Langford, 51 born Waterbeach, Cambridge. I have other Langfords of interest - but they all turn up after 1860 - these ones are my very big brick walls. Any help would be really appreciated!!!! Michelle

Searching for the descendants of William SPARKE and Honor FULLER who were married 24 September 1801 at Milsenhall,Suffolk. Honor was the daughter of John and Elizabeth FULLER. William and Honor SPARKE had a daughter, Sarah born at Isleham CAM in April 1826. Two previous daughters born to this couple at Snailwell where William would seem to have worked at a Toll House (hope I have that word right) Mt 4xg-grandmother was a witness at the registration of births. This family was probably Baptists. Judith Stichbury.
Hi Judith - I don't know whether you are interested, but in 1841 the SPARKE family was still living at Isleham. William isn't mentioned (deceased?) and the family consisted of: Honor, age 59 Honor, age 25 William, age 20 Ann, age 20 (William's wife?) William, age 2 (William's son?) Elizabeth, age 20 James. age 15 Sarah, age 13 Regards, Liz ----- Original Message ----- From: "jaystich" <jaystich@xtra.co.nz> To: <ENG-CAMBRIDGESHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 28, 2004 5:53 AM Subject: [ENG-CAMB] SPARKE/FULLER > Searching for the descendants of William SPARKE and Honor FULLER who were married 24 September 1801 at Milsenhall,Suffolk. This is a case of synchronicity! I was transcribing a will for one Joseph RIDER (1746-1810) of Little Shelford last night and he mentioned his step-son William CLARK of (space) Morden as a beneficiary. I would be interested to hear about how (if) this William CLARK is related to the people on this census entry. Dear Listers, My posting yesterday should have contained proper links - sorry! Here we go again: The annual Harvest Service at the Swaffham Fen Wesleyan Methodist Chapel (now usually called 'The Little Chapel in the Fen') is on Sunday October 3rd at 3 p.m. and I invite anyone who has memories of or family connections with this little Victorian gem to come along.
