Do you have any idea of their ages? It'd help to identify them. Also, the names & ages of any known children & other relatives who might be with them. By roots, do you mean born there? If you know which counties they were born in, it'd also help identify them. So far, none of the 4 adult Janes I've found in the 1841 census seems a good prospect. None is paired with an adult John. There are far more Johns.
