Hi Everyone, I am new to the list,so I hope I am posting my message to the correct list. I have just received the marriage certificate of my ggg-grandparents and I am hoping there might be someone on the list with the same research interests. William Rainbow and Elizabeth Hollis,both from Hanslope were married on the 25th December 1848. Marriage was registered in the district of Newport Pagnel.. The certificate states Williams father as Daniel or David Rainbow(the writing is hard to decipher). Elizabeth's father was George Clark Hollis. Elizabeth and William had a son,Edward William Rainbow born C:1849. For some reason during Edward's life he decided to take his mothers maiden name as his surname. This shows through on his marriage certificate to Mary Ann Atterbury in Cosgrove,Northampton in the registration district of Pottersbury in 1868, and his shipping papers to Australia in 1884 aboard the ship "Warwick". If any of these names are connected to any other researchers on the list ,I would love to hear from you. Cheers Cathy
