The person I wish to find is Ann Todd, she would be about 22, with a child aged between 1 and 2, name of Arthur William Todd. Todd is her maiden name and have no record of Arthur's father. I don't know if she went on to marry as I have had trouble finding her in other records or later censuses. As 1861 is close to Arthur's birth I am hoping they will turn up. Arthur was born in Hardwick, Bucks and went on to marry from there so I am hoping Ann was around too and didn't just leave him with family and disappear! > >Thanks for any help with this, >Sue > > >============================== >Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration >Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial. 3. Hi Paul Thanks very much doing the 1851 census lookup, I do have this information already, but very kind of you all the same. I really wanted the 1861 stuff as I thought it would be most helpful, however, this weekend I have been organising, sorting and filing all my gathered notes and info when, lo and behold, I found Ann! I had some 1881 stuff for Todd's of Hardwick when I noticed one who was staying with an aunt and uncle in Leics. The aunt's name was Ann Woodcock with the right age, born in Hardwick. From there I found the marriage index for Ann Todd and Charles Woodcock on Freebmd, mystery solved. Thanks again for taking time out to help, Sue
