Apologies if this comes through twice. My internet connection is playing up today. The Whatkin that you found in 1841 in Bucks is still there in 1851 with his wife Ann and children Edwin and Miriam. He is a chainmaker and was born in the county. Did your Whatkin have a relative called William? If so, in 1841 they are in St Marylebone in Middlessex. Watkin has been transcribed as Walken. He is a mason and William is a carpenter. I can send you the details if you like.
