    3. Can anyone help me with a photograph? I have been passed a wartime black and white photograph about 4 inches by 3 inches in size. It is of a sculptress in an old beamed cottage. The label on the back says: "Mary Durasova, the wellknown [Czechoslovak] sculptress, is working in her Buckinghamshire studio on a bust of the Prime Minister. Mrs Durasova's hostess is Miss Augusta North, an English artist. As Mr. Churchill is too busy with the war, Mary Durasova had to model his head according to photographs. Here she is comparing her work and photographs in her library." taken by Erich Auerbach, official photographer to the Czechoslovak Government in Exile. I know that Czechoslovaks were living in Addington, Wingrave and Aston Abbotts but I am not aware of a Augusta North in any of those places. Do this mean anything to anyone? Neil Rees Bucks
