Hi Patricia Not much luck I'm afraid. I should say first that there are literally hundreds of names that can't be read as they are too faint - High Wycombe and West Wycombe is split into 18 enumeration districts, and some whole EDs are unreadable. Perhaps another scan might be a bit better (I have the S&N set). I did find the following HUTCHINSONs in High Wycombe: Ann? HUTCHINSON 40 School Mistress not born in county (Stellary St, HO107/055 ED 2 folio 10 pg 15) Edmund HUTCHINSON 40 Chair M born in county Mary HUTCHINSON 40 born in county Esther HUTCHINSON 20 born in county Mary Ann HUTCHINSON 15 born in county Eliza HUTCHINSON 15 born in county Edmund HUTCHINSON 14 born in county and in the same house but listed as a separate household all by herself: Mary EDMONDS 5 born in county (Stellary St, HO107/055 ED 2 folio 13 pg 20) I wonder if maybe the HUTCHINSONs didn't have an enduring relationship with the area, despite William's occupation - there are no HUTCHINSONs in Wycombe in the Posse Comitatus records (1798), and only one burial in the National Burial Index (which covers 1813-1817 and 1828-1851 for High Wycombe). Both Edmunds seem to have stayed on for a while - 1851 the younger one is 23, "Fancy Chair Maker", married to Mary A, 22, b Wycombe. Older Edmund same trade. But they're the only Hutchinson (or variants) families in town. Alexandra Coles wrote: >Hi Patricia > >Not much luck I'm afraid.
