Hi Iris..... He doesn't appear to be in the Little Lementon/Hanslope census for 1841 (incidently one of the Hanslope enumerators has the most beautiful copperplate writing and his book has survived the ages well - what a pleasure to look through!) Given that Ephraim has grandchildren with him in 1851, all born in Castlethorpe, as he was, that would be my next guess for his 1841 location. I managed to work out that Castlethorpe was probably in the Newport Pagnell enumeration districts, but not sure exactly which one, and the majority of entries are unreadable. There are MEADOWs in the one ED which is readable, but I didn't spot an Ephraim on a quick look through. If Ephraim's mother was Mary, she is still going strong at age 89 - I can provide the full details if she is yours.
