Hi, I'm searching for any records of Charles GRAY, born "Hambledon, Buckinghamshire" (sic) approx 1805. I have him and his family living in Whiston, Lancashire, in the 1841 census onwards. It's a long way from Hambleden to Whiston and I'm really interested in why/how he went there and what his family in Hambleden might have been doing. I know very little of Hambleden apart from what I've Googled :-)) Charles is an "agent" in 1841 and a Farm Bailiff/Farmer in subsequent census. In 1851 his father George Gray a Retired Farm Bailiff, b about 1773, again born in Hambledon is living with his son and family in Whiston. Does anybody have access to the Hambleden parish church registers, or able to direct me to where I might find them ? Really would appreciate any help or advice.
