Hello. In trying to research my BUSBY ancestry in Buckinghamshire, I found in the IGI, a record of a marriage between a Thomas BUSBEY and an Ann CROSS, at Wendover on 23 March 1801. Would anyone have access to the marriage record, so that I might know what the occupation of the groom was, if it is recorded in the parish register? I am wondering whether the occupation was bootmaker or shoemaker, as the "Surname Index to Robson's 1839 Directory of Buckinghamshire Names", shows a Thomas Busby at Chesham, and my earliest BUSBY ancestor to whom I have previously referred, quite some time ago on the list, is Michael Horton BUSBY, apparently born in 1803 in Chesham (from the 1851 census), or 1806 (from the 1841 census), and I am, as yet, unable to find any record of the baptism/christening of Michael Horton Busby, or any other information about his birth, other than the record from the census, some decades after his birth. Thank you in anticipation. -- Bret Busby Armadale West Australia ..............
