Hi, I am new to this list and am researching my family in Buckinghamshire. Great Grandma Lily Elizabeth Cowley was born 1884 in Haversham to James Cowley (Farmer and Post master) and Mary Guess. They lived in a village called Olney before moving to Nash. They had a daughter Beatrice who was tragically killed age 16 by a tram whilst visiting relatives in Manchester. Best wishes Trish __________________________________________________________ Not happy with your email address?. Patricia, what do you want to know about them? Hello Trish, I am doing a one-place study on Nash and can give you some information about this name: The 1891 census shows 2 COWLEY families plus two 'single' COWLEY's - there are references to Warwickshire, Willoughby in Warwickshire, and other more local places. The 1901 census shows 2 COWLEY families. Your Lily and Beatrice show up on both. I have various data I can send you off list including BDM's, MI's, photos of gravestones and 3 photos with COWLEYs in them.
