I have a copy of the will of Thomas SHAKELL, Grazier of Cranwell, Waddesdon, dated 08-Apr-1701, proved 17-May-1701, & the will of his widow Mary, dated 21-Oct-1701, proved 25-Nov-1704. They list children & grandchildren, & I've found a couple of marriages of children - -Son in law Bozes(!) Burbro (Burborough?), his dau Elizabeth -Dau Sarah, husb Thomas Addams, dau Sarah -Dau Elizabeth, husb William Ovatts (married as "Oviats" Wendover 01 May 1687), son William -Dau Anne, husb William Edmonds (mar Aylesbury 29 Jun 1690 - children born Aylesbury from 1691) -Dau Allis Dubery widow, her son John (wid John Dubery, tailor, d Westcott 1689-1692?) -Son Thomas - main beneficiary I think the son Thomas is probably my ancestor, who married Mary RICE at Waddesdon 29-Dec-1691, but it's tantalisingly uncertain. I've not found any SHAKELLs under any spelling in Waddesdon earlier, though I must admit that when I've been able to look at the Waddesdon PRs I've not been looking for them. Does anyone know more? I'd expect there to be something on them, somewhere. There were churchwardens of Waddesdon called Thomas SHAKELL (or SHACKELL) in 1698-99, 1718 & 1719. Paul
