You've probably found Princes Risborough is not on the IGI. However, its parish registers have mostly been transcribed by the Bucks FHS, who'll search them (& othes) for you, for a fee. http://www.bucksfhs.org.uk/ There are lists online of the coverage of their databases, & they reckon they have all the marriages up to 1837. They sell transcripts of some parishes, but not Princes Risborough - yet. Their baptism coverage of neighbouring Monks Risborough (another hotbed of DARVELLs) doesn't include when Jacob was born, but the IGI does. I'm afraid my DARVELLs were earlier. I've looked in the Posse Comitatus for 1798, but there's no Jacob DARVELL/ILL/ALL or variants. Hi Sue, the other ones I have were all born in and around the London area, but Jacob and Catherine ALLOWAY are proving to be a thick brick wall. I checked out the Bucks FHS website thanks to Pauls reply, it looks very interesting, I may enrol as a member to see if they can help.
